Pastor
Earl Holiman received his call to the ministry
and began assisting Pastor Edith Johnson at the
Christ Temple Church of Paulding, Ohio. He later
accepted the pastorate of Christ Temple Church
in Bloomington, Indiana. In 1959 Pastor and Sister
Holiman obeyed the call to minister in Denver,
Colorado. In February 1965, they founded Bethsaida
Temple Church.
Their
first place of worship was at 3100 Gilpin Street
in a storefront building. In 1968, they purchased
a building at 2801 Milwaukee Street in which they
worshipped for ten years. In June 1978, they purchased
property at 37th and Colorado Boulevard and began
building a house for the Lord. While the edifice
was being built, the church worshipped at 3400
Albion Street for four years. In 1996, God blessed
the church to completely remodel and expand the
size of the sanctuary.
In
the years that followed, the Lord blessed Pastor
and Sister Holiman with steady growth. The now,
Bethsaida Temple Christian Center owns five homes
west of the church on Harrison Street that provides
living accommodation for the members and additional
church parking. Our pastor and the entire congregation
are excited about the next move of God. We anticipate
a “spiritual explosion” when the Heirs
of God move into new positions of power to fulfill
the end-time work of the ministry.
